Sink Location-Oriented Data Dissemination using Grid in Wireless Sensor Networks

چکیده

Due to constrained energy source in wireless sensor nodes energy awareness is an essential design issue in wireless sensor networks.Attention must be paid torouting protocols in these networks since they might differ depending uponthe application and network architecture underneath.In this paper,we proposeda Sink Location-oriented Data Dissemination using Grid in Wireless Sensor Networks (SLDD) which is an energy efficient strategy to deliver the data from multiple sources to multiple mobiles sinks.In SLDD the grid construction is initiated by the source appearing in the sensor field when no valid grid is present. Any other source or sink appears thereafter uses the existing grid. SLDD is a sink location oriented protocol where new and updated location information of mobile sinks is stored at sink location anchors (SLAs). Any other source appearing in the sensor field acquires the sink(s) location from these SLAs and communicates directly with the sink(s) using greedy geographical forwarding techniques. Analytical and simulation study reveals significant improvement in energy conservation in comparison to existing scheme.
